EKEN Electronics, the Hong Kong based tablet PC Maker, has introduced its low-cost Android Based Tablets, under the brand name Leopard in Indian Market. The Hong Kong based company has tied up with Aldous Glare Trade & Exports (AGTE), Kerala based company, to circulate its entire range of EKEN Tablets in the Indian Market.
The EKEN Leopard Tablets comes with a price range of Rs.6,900 – Rs.11,999 in the Indian Market. Edison Chang, CEO, EKEN Electronics said, “India is an exploding market with huge potential for cost effective tablets. This factor influenced us to launch quality budget tablets in India and this will enable computing advantage to everyone”.
The AGTE CEO George Thomas stated that they are hoping to sell 10,000 units per month by December this year in Kerala.
All models EKEN Tablets features 8 GB of Internal Memory expandable up to 32 GB, 1.3 MP Front Camera, 1080p HD Video Support and many Pre-loaded apps. The EKEN Tablets are available in 7-inch, 8-inch, & 9.7-inch size models. There is also a 3G & GPS Models available to lure its customers. All Tablets comes with Android Operating System. All tablets offers connectivity through Wi-Fi and 3G Dongle support. All tablets are sleek and slim in design and weighs only about 230 gms.
Recently a lots of Low-Cost tablets featuring Android Jelly Bean, the latest version of Google’s Mobile Platform, from Karbonn, WickedLeak and Zync were launched. Micromax has also introduced two of its Android ICS Tablets, Funbook Infinity & Talk in the Indian Market. Its like raining Android-Based tablets in the Indian Market.
