Celkon Mobiles is all set to introduce its Sim-Based Android tablet Celtab (CT2). This 7-inch sim-based android tablet operates on Android Ice Cream sandwich Operating System. The Celcon Executive director R.Murli stated that the company is eyeing upon a reach the Rs.1000 Crore mark turnover in FY13 by expanding its business abroad.
The Celkon Celtab (CT2) features a 1 GHz Processor, 512 MB RAM, and 3G dongle support. No other features about this tablet have not been revealed yet. The company Executive Director had also stated that the company will be launching an aggressive marketing campaign with film actress and the out-standing Indian Cricketer Virat Kohli next month to opportune on the coming festival season in the country.
R.Murali, the Company’s Executive Director also said,”The company’s revenue was at Rs 326 crore last year and as the market has been expanded to some states in north India this year sales are expected to jump threefold. As on date we have 11 active states in the country selling half a million mobile phones a year. We aim to sell one million sets next year”.
This Android Ice Cream Sandwich Sim-Based Tablet is priced at Rs.7,499. Lets wait what this new Android tablet features which is yet to be revealed. Celkon previously has launched the CT1 E-Tab 1 which features a 1.2 GHz Processor, 512 MB RAM, a 7″ 5 Point Multi-Touchscreen Display, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 2 MP Rear Camera & VGA front camera, 4 GB Internal Memory & Expandable up to 32 GB, Wi-Fi, HDMI support, Live TV and is powered by a 3000 mAh Battery and is priced at Rs.6,450.
