Now no need to book a Kindle online and then wait for some days to get your Kindle e-reader. Amazon has launched its Kindle store in India, partnered with Indian Electronics Retailer Croma.
Amazon Kindle Indian e-Book store features more than 1 million books, a wide range of Indian Authors including famous authors like Chetan Bhagat, Ravinder Singh, Amish Tripathi and Ashwin Sanghi along with 70 to 100 Nielsen Bestsellers. It has also launched Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) for those authors and publishers who are independent in India.
Russ Grandinetti, Vice-President of Kindle Content, Amazon.com said,”We are proud to launch this new Kindle store for Indian customers – offering Kindle book purchases in rupees and the ability to buy and read the work of many great Indian authors”.
Amazon has 4 models of the e-reader, the latest model which is Kindle Touch Model features a 6″ E-Ink Touchscreen Display, 4 GB Internal Memory, Wi-Fi and 3G connectivity. This 4th version of Kindle, Kindle 4 costs Rs.6,999 in Croma Retail outlets.
