Recently Samsung has two latest Windows Phone 8 devices in court documents this week. Submitted as part of the Apple vs Samsung trial, the documents show that Samsung is planning “Odyssey” and “Marco” Windows Phone 8 handsets. Apart from it news is that both the devices are running on the Qualcomm MSM8960 chipset that features a dual core 1.5GHz system on chip which Microsoft has been using to test Windows Phone 8.
This two new gadget are described as an “iconic smartphone,” Samsung’s Odyssey will feature as follows
- 4.65-inch Super AMOLED display with HD resolution
- 8-megapixel rear camera
Samsung also marks the Odyssey as an NFC device, suggesting it will support Microsoft’s upcoming Wallet Hub and Tap + Send features in Windows Phone 8. The Marco will include a 4-inch S-AMOLED display with WVGA resolution and a 5-megapixel rear camera. Both handsets will be LTE-capable and, if the documents are up-to-date, appear to be launching in Q4 2012.
