Acer India has launched a new notebook under the TravelMate series, TM P243. This Acer Notebook is powered by Intel Third generation Core i5 processor. This notebook is highly safe for the users with a high level of data protection, with such software as Acer ProShield Security, Acer Backup Manager, Acer Office Manager (AOM) and e-Recovery Management.
The Acer TravelMate P243 features a 3rd Generation Intel Core i5 processor with Nvidia GeForce GT 630M GPU graphics which works decently, an energy efficient 14″ LED Backlit display with 16.9 aspect which uses 30% less energy, up to 750 GB HDD support & up to 8 GB of RAM Upgradable.
Other features includes Bluetooth 4.0, Gigabit Ethernet and USB3.0 (with power-off charging) connectivity, as well as Acer’s SignalUp wireless technology, Acer FineTouch keyboard, which is spill-resistant, with a water drainage design, a multi-gesture touchpad. The TravelMate notebook also offers a 25,000-cycle recharge, supposedly making it extremely sturdy and powerful for SMB users. The Acer TM P243 notebook is a perfect blend of effective manageability with truly reliable security features, with prices starting from Rs.35,000.

The Notebook comes with Acer ProShield Security which features pre-boot authentication (PBA) with BIOS/HDD password that gives its security level a new level. It also allows its users to create a Personal Secure Drive (PSD) for seamlessly storing and encrypting all important files, in order to protect the files from being accessed even the notebok is lost or stolen.
It also provides another layer of security offered by Acer in the form of Back Up/Recovery Manager to back up all valuable data and other important files. The Acers e-Recovery Manager provides on demand recovery. The Acer TM P243 is also loaded with Acer Office Manager (AOM) which is a manageability solution which allows SMB to make security policies, monitor IT assets, and schedule maintenance tasks under one simple manageability package.
