Finally the leaked news was proved true at Google’s I/O conference that the $199 Tablet of Google is “Nexus 7″ going on sale by mid-July. This tablet is manufactured by Asus and powered by NVIDIA and is likely to enter the market by the middle of July. The conference also assured the spectators about Google’s futuristic gadget “Smart Glass” which allows its user to connect to internet through glasses.
The Nexus 7 is loaded with the latest version of Android which is “Android 4.1 Jelly Bean”. It is also desgined with a “Quad-Core Tegra 3 Processor” which is powered by a 1 GB RAM and a 4325 mAh Battery which supplies back up upto 8 hrs. It is also featured with a 7″ 1280×800 HD Display, NFC (Android Beam), 8GB or 16GB internal memory, 1.2MP Front Camera, Wi-Fi, GPS, Micro USB JAck, etc. It weighs around 340 gm. This tablet is devoid of back camera which is “cost-cutting” & a smart move by Google.
This Tablet is also desgined keeping gaming in mind for which it is powered by Nvidia Tegra 3 Quad Core Processor, for long hours working, it can work upto 8hrs without interruption. One can enjoy reading eBooks & Magazines, watching TV shows, Playing Games, etc with Google Play. It is also pre-loaded with Google apps like Chrome web browser, Gmail, Google+, Maps & YouTube.
With this new gadget Google is eyeing on competing with Apple iPads, Amazon.com‘s “Kindle Fire” as well as the Tablet computer “surface” of Microsoft”. Its priced at Rs.15000 for the 8GB version and Rs.20000 for the 16GB version.

Note: According to The Economics Times Google has made a contestant “Nexus 7” for the hotly contested tablet market which could replicate its smart phone success.
