Bringing out some unbelievable performance oriented graphics card are nothing new from AMD. AMD is famous for building some of the performance oriented graphics card available in the market. Not only that at the end of last year it shipped its original Raedon HD 7970. This graphics card was on the top until Nvidia launched its mean machine the GTX 680 a couple of months back, which took away the crown from AMD. So to gain the position again and to snatch the throne away from Nvidia, AMD has once again launched a refresh version of it known as the Raedon HD 7970 GHz Edition.

AMD claims that the core clock boosts from 925MHz to 1GHz and this is possible due to some better twists made in the process of the manufacturing and understanding it better. This is not that surprising because in the previous year AMD has brought out lot of tremendous innovations that makes it a company different from all other. Apart from it AMD is also building a new version with faster memory, its the same 6GHz effective memory that Nvidia uses on the GTX 680. AMD also tweaked its PowerTune technology, which manages the power envelope of the card, to allow for slightly higher core clock speeds if power demands aren’t too high.
It’s pretty simple: AMD simply added new P-states to PowerTune to allow for higher clock rates for short periods of time, when needed.
Finally I would say that not only this but also all others may not score in the other subjects but when it comes to gaming AMD beats all and this is a devastating monster that out runs each and every graphics card in its segment.
