At the Windows Phone Summit Microsoft has announced that Internet Explorer 10 will be making its debut from the desktop pc to the latest Windows Phone 8. Internet Explorer 10 will feature top class performance improvements compared to the current Internet Explorer found on Windows Phone 7.5, for example faster JavaScript performance, more HTML5 features, and a new anti-phishing mode.
The JavaScript rendering in Internet Explorer 10 is said that it is four times as fast as the current Internet Explorer and will also have twice as many HTML5 features in Internet Explorer 10. As for the anti-phishing feature, dubbed SmartScreen, it takes data collected from hundreds of millions of Windows PCs and applies that to the mobile browser, blocking malicious websites in real time. Microsoft shared a slide comparing the SunSpider benchmark score compared to phones such as the Galaxy S III, HTC One X, and iPhone 4S running the iOS 6 beta.
