Idea has been away from some days after the price cut it made in its 3g data tariff but now its back in news again because Idea has launched a new Android dual-SIM smartphone model number ID-918. It is cool trendy stylish handset. This is the third Android smartphone from Idea Cellular. The other two 3G smartphones were launched in November 2011 with Android 2.2 on-board.

The ID-918 has android Gingerbread as its OS and is priced at Rs 5,994 and apart from it the company will be offering free benefits of up to Rs. 2,300 with every purchase in the form of free minutes, 6GB data and free Idea TV subscription.
Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Idea Cellular said “Our first 2 smartphones ‘Blade’ and ‘ID-280′ saw higher uptake due to their multitasking capabilities and vast range of preloaded application. We have noticed good response and rapid uptake of our 3G services due to Idea smartphones’.
