These days there are lot of smartphones available in the market and in the mid range segment you will find almost each and every phone except Nokia has adopted Android as its operating system like Samsung. Android is an OS for mobile and tablet that is provided by google and surprisingly within few years this OS has taken all over the market. Android has become so popular that the new devices that are coming to the market are pre loaded with Android OS.
Apples iOS is also not that bad but for that you need to purchase an idevice and as you know that product from apple are way too expensive and therefore apple sales figure is very low as compared to that of android devices. Many application developers find it easy to develop applications for iphones rather than for android devices and this continued for a long time just because its easy to develop apps for iOS than Android. iOS is behined Android but not in terms of making money because Apple has one major advantage and that is the loyalty of mobile app developers.
Apart from it Hadi Partovi, an investor in technology startups like Dropbox and a former manager at Microsoft said “Android may have a lead in how many handsets it ships, but it doesn’t have a lead in how much money app developers are making from it.”
