Pinterest is a basically a pinboard founded by Ben Silbermann, of West Des Moines. It is one of the “fastest growing social services in the world., its a style made social photo sharing website that allows users to create and manage theme based image collections such as events, interests, hobbies, and more. These are some of the task that users can do on pinterest, which are as follows:-
- can browse other pinboards for inspiration
- re-pin images to their own collections or like photos.
Pinterest’s main motive is to connect everyone in the world through the goodies present all around us. Pinterest also allows its users to share ‘pins’ on both Twitter and Facebook, which allows users to share and interact with a broad community.
Today I am here to tell you a basic tips on why you should not rename pinterest boards. You can rename it, its not like that you can’t but the problem is that when you change the name of a Pinteret board that is published, the related URL or web address of that board also gets changed. So what happens now is that if people have shared your Pinterest board on Facebook or any other blog or if they have added your board to their online bookmarks then all those links will point to a non-existent (404) page once a board is renamed. This happens due to the change of permalink. Apart from it another problem is that Pinterest boards have a Facebook Like button and the Like counts will reset to zero after the board is renamed. So I suggest to leave it as it is so that the links that you have shared should not get disturbed.
