The Android-powered smartphones continues to grow and the latest addition is coming from the folks at T-Mobile. The new T-Mobile myTouch uses Google‘s Android 2.2 operating system.
The myTouch is pretty comparable with other Android phones on the market that has 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 3.8″ WVGA display and dual cameras with a rear-facing 5MP camera and a front-facing camera for video conferencing. An 8GB microSD card is included for additional storage.
T-Mobile USA’s vice president of product management, Andrew Sherrard said,” The new myTouch has 4G speeds on T-Mobile’s HSPA+ network that delivers a faster and more compelling experience than most competing smartphones on the market. Our continued focus to build innovative new features and personalized services truly makes myTouch unique.”
According to T-Mobile, HSPA can theoretically provide transfer speeds of up to 14Mbps. T-Mobile hasn’t given a specific launch date for the myTouch, but says that it will be available in time “for the holidays” and it will come in white, black, red or plum colors.
